Two-hour minimum on every visit. Below two hours nobody can do a room properly, and you would be paying for the travel rather than the cleaning.
Weekly is cheaper per hour than fortnightly for a reason that is not marketing: a home cleaned every week never gets to the state a fortnightly home does, so the same visit covers more ground. Most people who start fortnightly and switch to weekly end up paying less per month than they expected.
The same cleaner, every visit
This is the part that actually matters and the part the big platforms cannot do.
You are assigned a named cleaner, or a pair for larger houses. They are directly employed by us — on our payroll, not an agency’s — and Enhanced DBS checked before their first visit. They learn your home: which surfaces need which product, where things live, which door sticks, that the spare room is not to be touched.
A booking marketplace sends whoever is free. That means re-explaining your home every fortnight, a different stranger with your key each time, and no one who notices that the extractor filter is due. We do not work that way.
Holiday and sickness are our problem, not yours. Cover comes from our own team and is briefed on your home before they arrive.
What a regular visit covers
We agree the priorities with you on the first visit and work to them. A standard two to three hour weekly clean is normally:
- Kitchen — worktops, sink and taps, hob and splashback, the front of units, outside of appliances, microwave inside, floor washed
- Bathrooms — bath, shower and screen, basin, taps, loo, mirrors, limescale kept down before it takes hold, floor washed
- Bedrooms — beds made or changed, surfaces dusted, vacuumed, mirrors
- Living areas — dusted including skirtings and sills, cushions straightened, vacuumed, hard floors mopped
- Throughout — bins emptied, handles and switches wiped, cobwebs, and a tidy so the place looks finished rather than merely clean
Ironing, inside the oven, inside windows, inside the fridge and changing beds can all be part of the visit — they simply take time, so we agree what matters most to you rather than pretending everything fits into two hours.
Access, keys and being out
Most of our regular clients are at work when we come. Key-holding is available, keys are held securely and used only for your visits, and they come back whenever you ask. If you would rather use a key safe or let us in yourself, that is fine too.
You do not need to tidy before we arrive. If anything is not to be moved or touched, tell us once and it goes on your notes.
No contract, and what that actually means
- No minimum term and no exit fee. Not a twelve-month tie-in dressed up as a membership.
- Pause, move or cancel any single visit with 48 hours’ notice, at no charge. Going away for three weeks is not a problem.
- Insured to £5m — public liability and employers’ liability.
- Materials. In an occupied home we use what you already have, which most people prefer — your hoover, your surfaces, your choice of product, which matters on marble, natural stone and hand-painted joinery. If you would rather we brought everything, we can, and it is charged as an extra shown on your quote.
Regular housekeeping normally starts within five working days, because we would rather take a few days and assign you a permanent cleaner than send someone different this week.
