Brondesbury is large Victorian houses that are mostly flats now. Building started along Willesden Lane in 1847 and the big villas went up through the 1860s to the 1890s, which means high ceilings, deep cornices and original sashes sitting above kitchens fitted a century later. Converted flats are their own kind of job and most of what we do here is one.

What’s different about cleaning in Brondesbury
Conversions, and the line nobody reaches
A Victorian villa split into three or four flats keeps the original ceiling heights and loses the original layout. The cornice, the picture rail, the ceiling rose and the tops of the doors are all still up there at well over three metres, and in a flat with no loft ladder nobody has touched them since the conversion. That line is the first thing an inventory clerk photographs and the last thing a regular clean reaches. We bring the steps as standard and it is in the price, not an extra on the day.
Oven cleaning on its own
More people search for an oven clean in Brondesbury than for anything else we do here, which makes sense in a flat with a fitted kitchen and a landlord’s appliance in it. A single oven is £69, a double £89 and a range £129 — racks, trays, both panes of the door glass, the seal and the grill pan housing. On an end of tenancy or a deep clean it is included free.
Communal halls and who actually owns them
In a converted house the hall, the stairs and the front door are usually the freeholder’s and not yours, and a check-out clerk will not charge you for them. We clean up to your own front door and say so plainly, rather than quoting for communal parts you have no obligation to clean. If the freeholder wants the common parts done we will price that separately for them.
Brondesbury Park is a different property altogether
The road itself runs down to Salusbury Road past the private park that Humphry Repton laid out, and the houses along it are family houses rather than flats. Those are full-day jobs for a pair and we quote them as houses, not as the two-bed conversions three streets away. Manor Drive, built on the site of the old manor house after it came down in 1934, is the same.
Weekly cleaning, which is most of it
More of our Brondesbury work is weekly or fortnightly housekeeping than tenancy cleaning. £26 an hour weekly, two-hour minimum, the same named cleaner every visit, no contract and no exit fee. Key-holding is available and most people here use it.
